Joseph van den Elsen – Executive Chairman

(BA, LLB, Grad Dip Environment, Energy & Resources Law; Grad Dip Mineral Exploration Geoscience)

Mr. Joseph van den Elsen is a dual Australian/Colombian citizen and the current President and CEO of Pampa Metals. He founded Ronin Resources in 2017 and has held executive roles with ASX-listed companies including Ookami Ltd, MHM Metals, and Hampshire Mining. He previously served as Associate Director at both UBS and Goldman Sachs JBWere. Joseph holds degrees in Arts and Law from La Trobe University, and graduate diplomas in Environment, Energy & Resources Law (University of Melbourne) and Mineral Exploration Geoscience (Curtin University). Joseph is currently completing a Master of Science in Mineral Economics at Curtin.

Marnus Bothma

(B. Geo., Post Graduate Project Management)
Mr Bothma is a qualified geologist and company executive who is experienced in early exploration of mining assets through to production, having conducted numerous technical programs in Australia, Canada and Korea. Mr Bothma was the founding director and CEO of Peak Iron Mines, a privately owned iron ore mining company with operations in South Australia exporting through Whyalla. Mr Bothma also founded and (until mid 2022) was the Managing Director of Northern Iron Pty Ltd, which acquired and operates the Warrego tailings rehabilitation project in the Northern Territory. Mr Bothma has also served as non-executive director on the board of ASX listed company Chase Mining Ltd (ASX:CLM)

Wilson Escobar Castaneda – Non-Executive Director

Mr Wilson Escobar Castaneda is a Colombian National geologist with over 20 year’s experience in mineral exploration and mine optimisation. Mr Escobar started his career working for Cerrejon (the BHP, Anglo American and Glencore Joint Venture) in Colombia and has also worked for Vale, Anglo American and South 32 in Colombia, Brazil and South Africa. Wilson is accredited under the JORC Code for the purposes of certifying Coal Exploration Targets and Ferro-Nickel Mineral Resource Estimates. Mr Escobar Castaneda is based in Colombia and as through his role as a non-executive director of the Company and director of the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, CMNS, is responsible for overseeing the Company’s day-to-day operations in Colombia.

Nicholas Young – Non-Executive Director

Mr Young holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance, is a Chartered Accountant. Mr Young commenced his career in Corporate Restructuring and more recently has provided corporate advisory services to ASX listed companies across a wide range of industries, including mining and exploration, mining services, cleantech and advanced materials.

Justin Mouchacca – Company Secretary and Financial Controller

Justin is a Chartered Accountant, Fellow of the Governance Institute and holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in accounting. He is currently the principal of a chartered accounting firm, which provides outsourced company secretarial and accounting services to public and private companies specialising in the resources, technology, bioscience and biotechnology sectors. Justin has 18 years’ experience in the accounting profession and has extensive experience in relation to public company responsibilities, including ASX and ASIC compliance, implementation of corporate governance, statutory financial reporting, reorganisation of companies and shareholder relations. 

Jordan Webster – Country Manager, Argentina

(BSc Geology – University of Tasmania)

Jordan is an Australian geologist based in Argentina with several years of experience in mineral exploration, project development, and investor relations across Australia and South America. He spent several years with AngloGold Ashanti as a Project Geologist, leading gold exploration programs in remote regions of Western Australia. He currently serves as Investor Relations Advisor for Pampa Metals and writes about exploration and markets through his publication Geólogo Trader.
